DR. HAROLD BAFITIS:
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Harold Bafitis graduated with Honors from the University of Maryland, College Park. He obtained a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health., Houston Health Science Center, Houston Texas. Dr. Bafitis earned his medical degree Cum Laude, from the North Texas State University Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Bafitis completed a full 5 year general surgery residency at Grandview Medical Center, Dayton Ohio, affiliated with Ohio University’s Medical School. He is BOARD CERTIFIED IN GENERAL SURGERY. He then completed his 2 year training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The Plastic Surgery Institute and affiliated Hospitals in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Dr. Bafitis is BOARD CERTIFIED IN PLASTIC SURGERY and has achieved the coveted title of FELLOW (FACOS) in the College of Surgeons. In 1984 Dr. Bafitis was honored by being selected to be a plastic surgery board member to the American Osteopathic board of Surgery. He is responsible in maintaining the high standards in testing and certifying other plastic surgeons in the United States. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at Nova University/Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Bafitis has contributed to many medical publications and lay groups about all aspects of Plastic Surgery. He has hosted numerous scientific programs in West Palm Beach, providing specialized training for other plastic surgeons from across the country.
Dr. Bafitis is BOARD CERTIFIED IN PLASTIC SURGERY, while focusing his practice to Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, he is also BOARD CERTIFIED IN GENERAL SURGERY.
In the year 2000 Dr. Bafitis was chosen to be CHAIRMAN of the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery; inclusive of all the boards’ sub-specialties in surgery for the United States.
Dr. Bafitis was recently honored with the National Humanitarian Award for his volunteer work done here and in South America over the last 17 years, and he was the youngest surgeon to deliver the coveted "charge to the new surgeons" speech this past fall at the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons conclave.
